Description

The BIOBASE BTB-L Series Passive Medical Transport Cooler is a portable, non-powered insulated container designed for the temporary storage and transport of temperature-sensitive healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, and biological materials.

Available in capacities ranging from 5 liters to 85 liters, the BTB-L Series provides scalable transport options for small specimen collections, mobile healthcare operations, laboratory transfers, vaccination programs, pharmaceutical distribution, and institutional cold-chain workflows.

Each model incorporates polyurethane foam insulation to help reduce heat transfer and support internal temperature stability when used with appropriately selected cold packs, ice packs, or other qualified temperature-control media. Because the cooler is entirely passive, no 110V or 220V electrical connection is required.

The molded portable construction, secure lid, carrying handles, and clearly identifiable exterior make the BTB-L Series suitable for hospitals, clinics, laboratories, pharmacies, research facilities, public-health programs, emergency-response organizations, and medical distributors.

Important Use Notice

Warranty

The BIOBASE BTB-L Series is covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the documented delivery date, unless a different warranty period is stated in the applicable quotation, purchase order, invoice, or sales agreement. The warranty covers verified defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use. During the warranty period, the manufacturer or authorized distributor may, at its discretion, repair the affected product, provide replacement components, replace the product with an equivalent unit, or issue another commercially reasonable remedy. Warranty service may require photographs, serial or lot information, proof of purchase, inspection results, and return authorization before any product is returned. Warranty Exclusions The limited warranty does not cover: Damage caused by misuse, abuse, impact, dropping, crushing, puncture, overloading, or improper handling. Normal wear, cosmetic damage, staining, fading, scratches, odors, or routine deterioration. Damage resulting from improper cleaning, sterilization, chemical exposure, extreme temperatures, fire, flooding, or environmental conditions. Damage caused by unauthorized modification, repair, drilling, cutting, relabeling, or installation of non-approved accessories. Loss or deterioration of specimens, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, blood products, biological materials, or other transported contents. Cold packs, ice packs, temperature monitors, dividers, packaging materials, and other consumable or optional accessories unless expressly included. Shipping damage not reported within the carrier’s required claim period. Products used outside the manufacturer’s instructions or applicable transport, safety, or regulatory requirements. Product and Performance Limitations The BTB-L Series is a passive insulated transport container. It does not independently refrigerate, freeze, heat, regulate, record, or maintain a specified internal temperature. Temperature performance depends on factors including the type and quantity of conditioned packs used, ambient temperature, loading configuration, preconditioning procedures, lid-opening frequency, transport duration, and the thermal properties of the contents. No specific temperature range, hold time, or cold-chain duration is guaranteed unless supported by a documented validation study for the exact packaging configuration and operating conditions. The purchaser and end user are responsible for: Selecting appropriate cold packs, phase-change materials, absorbent materials, secondary packaging, and temperature-monitoring devices. Validating the complete transport configuration for the intended payload and required temperature range. Following applicable laboratory, pharmaceutical, healthcare, occupational-safety, dangerous-goods, and carrier requirements. Ensuring that specimens and biological materials are properly sealed, labeled, segregated, and packaged. Inspecting the cooler, lid, latches, handles, and insulation before each use. Cleaning and decontaminating the container according to the materials transported and the facility’s procedures. The cooler alone is not certified as a complete hazardous-material, infectious-substance, diagnostic-specimen, air-freight, or dangerous-goods shipping system. Additional compliant inner and outer packaging may be required. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the manufacturer, seller, and distributor are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or commercial losses, including loss of contents, loss of temperature integrity, clinical loss, research loss, recall expenses, lost revenue, or shipping delays. Any liability relating to the product is limited to the original purchase price of the affected unit. Warranty eligibility and remedies remain subject to inspection, documentation, product availability, manufacturer approval, and the controlling sales agreement.
