Description
The BIOBASE BK-TW210 Blood and Fluid Warmer is a compact, dual-channel clinical warming system designed to warm and maintain the temperature of compatible blood-transfusion and intravenous-fluid lines before fluids reach the patient.
The BK-TW210 uses a dry-heating system with full-wrap flexible heating sleeves, allowing two compatible infusion or transfusion lines to be warmed simultaneously. It does not directly contact the blood or administered fluid and is designed to work with conventional tubing without requiring proprietary disposable warming sets.
Its adjustable temperature control, real-time LED display and integrated alarm functions make it suitable for operating rooms, emergency departments, intensive-care environments, blood banks, infusion centers and other supervised clinical settings.
Key Features
- Dual-channel operation for simultaneous warming of two compatible fluid lines
- Adjustable temperature range from 32.0°C to 42.0°C
- 0.1°C temperature accuracy
- Preheating time of 2 minutes or less, measured from 20°C to 36°C
- Dry-heating technology with no direct contact between the warmer and the administered blood or fluid
- Full-wrap silicone heating sleeves for efficient heat transfer
- Compatible with conventional transfusion and infusion lines
- No specialized proprietary consumables required
- Plug-and-play heating-tube assemblies
- Real-time display of set temperature, heating temperature, operating time and alarm status
- Integrated over-temperature, under-temperature and no-liquid alarms
- Built-in alarm-test function for routine operational verification
Intended Applications
The BK-TW210 may be used by trained healthcare professionals to warm compatible fluids during:
- Blood and plasma transfusion procedures
- Intravenous fluid administration
- Surgical and perioperative care
- Emergency and trauma care
- Intensive-care procedures
- Recovery-room treatment
- Clinical environments where controlled fluid warming is prescribed
The manufacturer identifies the system for warming and maintaining the temperature of fluids administered to the human body, excluding analgesics, chemotherapy drugs and insulin.

Safety and Alarm Functions
The BK-TW210 includes a panel-accessible alarm-test function so operators can verify alarm operation before use. According to the manufacturer:
- An over-temperature alarm activates when the heating-pipe temperature exceeds the preset temperature by 2°C.
- An under-temperature alarm activates when the heating-pipe temperature falls 3°C below the preset temperature.
- A no-liquid alarm provides an additional operating warning.
- Independent temperature sensors support continuous temperature supervision.
Standard Configuration
- BIOBASE BK-TW210 dual-channel control unit
- Dual compatible heating-tube assemblies
- Power connection
- Manufacturer documentation
- Standard packaging
Optional heating sleeves or tubing configurations should be confirmed when ordering.
