Patient Sizing & Selection

Select the sling according to the patient's measured shoulder circumference, weight, body dimensions, mobility, and clinical support needs. Confirm compatibility with the patient lift and cradle before use.

Safety Information: The maximum sling weight rating does not override the patient lift's rated capacity. Never exceed the lowest-rated component of the lifting system. Inspect the sling, stitching, fabric, loops, and attachment points before every transfer. Use only according to the manufacturer's instructions and the patient's care plan.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Follow the care instructions attached to the sling. Inspect for fraying, damage, excessive wear, or compromised stitching before each use. Remove damaged slings from service immediately.

Medline recommends replacing reusable slings every six months and maintaining sufficient inventory to allow laundering between uses, subject to the product's instructions and facility policy.
